Made the choice on a new toy (Cotic Rocket plus), I know I can always get a second wheelset later, but for general mucking about, local trail centres, BPW now and again etc. What would be the choice between 650b+ or the 29er set to come with it. I already have a light 29er hardtail XC bike, so was edging towards the 650b+, but haven't ridden one properly to know what is like.
I demoed the FlareMAX in both 29er and plus formats last weekend, and the RocketMAX in 29er format.
Personally I'd go 29er and maybe get some plus wheels for summer fun.
Same. 29er and get 650b+ in the summer.
Though, I don't really like b+ on FS, much prefer it on hardtails.
I'd be interested to try it on a HT.
I have to admit the FlareMAX with plus tyres was incredible on really rocky trails, so I can see a benefit to it with rear suspension.
