Hi,
Sorry if this is a silly question, can I use 26" designed forks with 650b wheels?
i.e.
I want to get these for my Shan 27" frame
Or what forks would you guys recommend?

Some will and some won't. Depends on how tight the bridge clearance is. For example, my 2011 Magura Thors work with 650b tyres, but i wouldn't use bigger than a 2.25 in them.
ah ok, so it'd be a case of testing it 1st. Might stick with looking for 650b specific then. 🙂
I've always gone coil forks, are air ones any good? How easy/hard to look after?
Look on merlin as they have some good deals on 27.5 forks. Air is good imho. Normally light and easier to adjust to body weight etc.

Forks have gone crazy prices these days! No way am I paying 600£ upwards for some forks
although the frame is for 150 - 160 mm forks. I've ordered 140mm. does that matter? The fork length won't be different and mess the bike up?
