The saddle looks very low when compared to the bar height in this photo. [img] [/img]
Is that the height you were riding it at?

Post has never been used past the minimum insertion marks. the marks on the post will verify this. Hasnt been over tightened just undone and refastened since ive had it, I weigh just over 11 stone.

Garish to some but thats just your opinion which is wrong but your entitled to.

Sorry for your loss. Hopefully it won't be loss to you.

It does look like a trainer, though. Could be lucky escape. Do they do other colours?

Peddles and bars are what i use on all my bikes to give a feeling of familiarity i dont like being clipped in
I have two other bikes and work shifts hence the mileage, the tread clearly shows the mileage is right look at the bobbles.

Ive no reason to lie you wont be sorting it will you?

"Hasnt been over tightened just undo and refastened since ive had it,"

in your opinion ......

clamps probably only rated to 4-8 nm .... that isnt much and certainly isnt much more than just snugging it.

it does look alot like overtightening from where the crack is

Appy just ignor the usual a-holes that have nothing better to do than talk pish on here.

Get it back to the shop that you bought it and Cube will sort you a new frame.

TBH, I like the colour of the frame. I think it's the white markings on the tyres that just make it look a bit loud.

Warranty. No Question (assuming seat post as you describe).

If you're style conscious maybe save up for some new tyres.

I've seen one of these in the flesh and really quite liked it~ bet some folk on here are harking back to the days of watching snooker in black and white.

Good luck with warranty, sure it'll get sorted.

Thanks for the constructive comments ive actually had a giggle at the numpties this morning as im not in such a bad mood now after speaking to Certini. I know its a marmite bike but dont understand some peoples need to slag other peoples bikes off it does get very tedious and its always the same numpties. If the thread was titled "what do you think of my bike" then yes but it isnt so jog on..

I have taken it to my local bike shop for a 2nd opinion (bought this mail order as they couldnt get me one) And they agree the seat post is far from overtightened. its not exactly like a normal clamp you have to get an alan key out to adjust it so it cant over been overtightened by accident either. With the post tensioned as it is, its easy to twist it by holding the saddle so its definitely not to tight.

Certini are collecting it today which is fantastic customer service so will update this thread with what happens.

I hope you get it sorted - sounds like you've done nothing wrong.

I tend to limit myslef to comments on the state of peoples lawns, block paving and cable/hose lengths as bikes are so personal a choice.

In your case you need to get that moss dealt with ๐Ÿ˜‰

Best not take that attitude when you're talking to the warranty chaps.

Maybe you should have spoken to the warranty people first before declaring 'cracked cube' all over the Internet. Warranty people won't be too pleased if they see this thread.

Not much wrong with a man who has a cracked Cube telling people that he has a cracked Cube.

And a bit harsh slagging off the OP's bike when it's cracked - talk about kickign someone when they're down.

Just had a phone call saying they are swapping it to a 2012 frame.

Not sure how i feel about this, as im selling it when it returns will this affect the resale value? Guess ill have to sell it as a custm built cube

Serious question can i demand like for like replacement?

I see the trolls just cant help themselves

I'd just explain what happened when you come to sell it. As long as all the components swap across ok then there's nothing to worry about, is there?

Out of interest why are you selling a 6 week old bike?

It'll be a 2011 bike with a 2012 frame. Surely that's a good thing?

Looks like they have done some changes for the latest carbon frame - especially around the seat clamp area: http://www.cube.eu/en/hard/pro-comp/reaction-gtc-race/

EDIT: looking again maybe not so much change. Probably just have no stock of older frames or maybe they have replaced a few and did update it. Either way I would consider the 2012 an upgrade and be happy with that.

I get confused by huge bike ranges like Cube has but I am guessing that will be the frame you get, pretty similar looks wise so your colour scheme will be okay which can be a pain with bikes like Cube with lots of graphics.

Probably the same frame as the two other reactions with Fox forks and different colour schemes.

Naming and shaming when a frame breaks can hurt brand strength but it also lets people know that breaks do happen which is good for making sure companies change designs and it's also beneficial when the owners post up positive experiences from warranty claims.
