Using a 120mm Suntour Hub suitable for 5 x 8spd sprockets (or 7 x 10spd as pictured, but I like the idea of chunkier 8spd kit)

a shortcage 105 mech with hanger for horizontal drops, full length gear outer and my existing 3/32" singlespeed front ring (possible fitting a small 1x chainguide as insurance...)
For some reason I can't resist the idea of trying this on my Charge Plug, I love it as a singlespeed but it's proven itself so versatile that adding a few gears would possibly make it the perfect winter road bike whilst still maintaining some of its agricultural appeal. Also I could offset the additional weight of the gears by replacing the stock front wheel with something that weighs less than 1kg...
No coincidence that I'm currently nursing two clicky/twingey knees after a little too much enthusiasm with the single gear.
Anyone got any pics of any similar conversions?
