I built up my 456Ti frame using my 456 steel frame components.
A couple of differences emerged, both my rear brake hose and rear-mech outer were a little on the short side (yes, same size frame)..., and the rear Nobby Nic 2.4 is too wide - it rubs on the chain stays when 'powering'.
So I want a big volume tyre that's narrower than the NN and will perform like the NN - any ideas?
NN 2.25?
Maxxis Advantage 2.35" single ply in 60A compound? Well thats whats on mine and it fits fine.
I used to run 2.4"NN's on my steel 456 but the sidewalls gave up before I had the Ti version so never tried them on it.
2.35 high roller on mine.
Kenda Nevegal 2.1 on mine and they are fine
Thanks guys, I was looking for the widest possible with good 'depth'.
A pal has a NN 2.25 on a rear, I'll try that.
Although on closer inspection I don't think my knackered hub bearings were helping... bought a fresh set and will try them.
