Quick Question, I've got a 456 frame coming.

Is it possible to run the Gear outter all the way through without braking?

Or do the Lugs need drilling out?

Cheers

Carbons do.
Steel ones don't.

I shall educate our CS team.

On my steel 456, the rear outer cable runs in one piece from the shifter to the mech. Same with the front. You have to thread them through the cable guide/loops.

No pics tho. Hope that helps.

Sorry - I was referring to the "It breaks" comment.

Skiprat is quite right. The gear cables run through O guides. The disc brake has M clips.

The gear cables have continuous outers on my carbon 456 - but I spent 5 minutes with a 4mm drill and a very small round file.
4.5mm might have been better in retrospect but you can always remove material later; you can't add it.
