[#12111459]

I built a carbon 456 up for my dad a few years back for Christmas as a rigid 1x10 with 650b wheels for taking on his motor home but now it's getting a bit hard work pedalling so he's looking at an ebike conversion kit and asked if I'd give him a hand sorting it.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience with the bolt on kits you can get and if they had any recommendations?

That Rubbee looks like a great idea, think of all the old bikes that could get a new lease of life.

Why has no one done this before? Dog shit, that’s why.

They did do that before. It was called the Sinclair Zeta and was not great either.

There is a long thread on here somewhere on Tongsheng conversions. Don't know whether the carbon frame would be a problem or just make for a superlight ebike.

No idea if they are any good but I saw them on blacks/millets. Think they are cheaper on there than direct but 26" only.

A bloke on here did it with loads of details on the thread and follow up. TJagain is the user, but I can't find the thread becasue he post so much stuff...
It was the definitive thread though.
