[#10616704]

Looks like I have day spare a week Sunday as daughter is at dance comp all day and the Mrs has said if I take my bike I can bugger off for the day!.

Won't be too far from 417 so seems like a good opportunity to check it out, but not sure if I'll have my Full Sus built up by then.

Is it doable on a 160 travel HT?

Will just be hitting the blues and reds.

Absolutely fine, in fact you will have a great time.  I can only remember one token 'rock garden' which is more like a few foot of crazy paving.

You'll have a blast.
I did it on my Cotic SolarisMax LS with 130mm.
I managed to ride all the trail and had no problems, it was great actually.
Overall pretty smooth, so you can carry plenty of speed.

No problem. I’ve done it on a rigid 29er and a rigid Fatty, and I’m pants.

thanks all.
Is it worth taking a full face helmet?

Is it worth taking a full face helmet?

Yes, especially as it's a push/lift up.

Yes, if you have a full face I can't think of a reason not to wear it

You’ll love it - but if you do a. Full day it’ll be tiring on your legs.

I did a half day mixture of push up and uplift up (you can buy a card with 5 uplifts for £15 if you don’t want to commit to a full day uplift) just after Christmas and loved it. I’d say he 2 blues are more fun on a hardtail than full suss, but the bit of red which has just had millions of steps chucked on it is better on a full suss (but still fine to ride on a hardtail).

The black isn’t really hard unless it’s wet and muddy - in which it’s best left alone anyway.

If you have full Face then I’d take it, because why wouldn’t you if you aren’t pedalling the bike much.

My bike is a Vitus Sentier with 140mm Pikes and it was so much fun on all the berms and flat out sections.

Apparently they’ve built more jumps in the bottom field section so I need to get back there soon for a look!

First time I was there I was on my old Ragley, it was pretty much perfect. It's basically just a few really good trailcentry descents with a lot going on in them, plus an uplift, rather than this weird thing where bike parks are seen as being "different" or harder. Great fun
