[#4574321]

Sorry another stolen bike thread. I had my garage turned over for the second time this year yesterday. I came home from work to find my garage open and my bikes gone. I had increased the security after learning some lessons from last time (April). I sealed the main garage door, added 3 motion sensor alarms, ground anchor and two very heavy duty motor bike locks.

This time they came through the side door, all alarms were smashed and it appears they have angle grinded through the locks.

For the second time the police didnt show even though there is foot prints in the garden and finger prints on the door. They havent even phoned up for a statement yet. None of the neighbours hear or saw anything and I live on a main road!

The bikes that were stolen were:

19inch OnOne 456 carbon - black and red standard stock components.
18inch Orange 5 pro - Green White Decals
20inch Haro Mary XC 29er - Orange
15inch Cammencal Premier HD4 - Blue white and black decals

Here is the link to the photos

Please keep an eye out. I now have the adurous task of dealing with the insurance company again and I probably be uninsurable next year.

Thanks in advance

Blimey! That's a hell of a haul for somebody! You must be absolutely bloody fuming!

I'll keep my eyes open. Don't forget to keep your eyes on the usual ebay/gumtree/local cash convertors.

In cases like this, maybe we need to start looking at Saudi justice....

That's bad form. 😯

Good luck, hope you get the bikes back or the insurance replacements.

Thats just miserable.

I hope you are insured mate, I had an insurance policy for so long that I forgot to read the policy booklet and just looked at the renewal sheet each year which stated £1500.00 per single item, the booklet had other ideas and bikes are only insured to £300.00.

I got the assessor from hell when I claimed and it's not looking particularly promising as the bikes were built up from bits over the years without proof of purchase (classifieds etc).

I had 2 nicked a couple of weeks ago, i'll be lucky to cover the cost of a second hand inbred now. 😥

Almost certainly the same ****s as last time. Turn somewhere over, wait for insurance to pay up and stuff to be replaced, come and take the replacements.

Gutting but from now on I'd keep the bike in the house and don't use a bike rack/roof rack. If you are on the mainroad you'd have been spotted 🙁

They're probably in StalyVegas being sold by some drug addled arse...or at least that was what it used to be like when I lived there.

Hope you get them back! Maybe they might give you my TV too!
