1kg frame weight for ti! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ not for cyclo-cross I guess, tho I doubt the cheese grater BB and HT would work anywhere wet.

Interesting to see some new ideas/tech making a difference in the bike world, also interesting that ti is cheaper to 3D print than aluminium.

Kingdom 3d printed full suss

Interesting that a 3d printed ti full suss gets a launch/ first look article at the same time.

Also with a cheese grater part.

I'm tall and love the idea I could order any bike in XXL. I suspect economys of scale will prevent that.

That road bike is from 2006, you'd think this kind of thing would have caught on a bit more by now if the hype is to be believed.

I still find 3D printing of metals to be almost science fiction in nature. Just can't quite get my head around it.

The op's article refers to CNC as almost archaic. Im old though to remember when something that was CNCed was also revered as incredibly advanced.

I can't keep up anymore!

"Printed bikes" Coming Soon! (For the last 20 odd years)

It's just about the least efficient, most costly way you could choose to make a bicycle frame, but to most people it seems...

almost science fiction in nature.

Hence the perennial hype and the not-quite delivered products/businesses (Are we counting Robot/Atherton bikes?)...

is Ti-V-Al powder homogeneous?

Why titanium?
