Going to try 2x9 set-up with 36T middle.
Was going to just pop on an SLX but can't find any, so what else can I use?
What middleburn options?
I've already got a spare Shimano XT granny/inner I can pop on.

Deore steel. Not that much heavier but they last miles longer. Cheap too

Deore steel. Weight difference is bugger all, IIRC it was 20g difference between my SLX 32T and my Deore 36T. Last forever, shift perfectly, win. It feels morally wrong putting steel rings on an XTR crank though 😉

Will any Deore fit the M770 crank?

The M532 version is a better fit because the tabs seat right down onto the machined lip on the spider. But it's not essential, and the M510 work fine.
