Hi my new 34T Oval ring rubs on my rear chainstay on my bike (Cube LTD SL) What can i do to stop this?

Take a spacer from the left hand side of the BB and put it on the right.

What crank? If its not one where there are spacers between crank spider and ring your choice is limited to putting a smaller ring on.

Space it out or run a different ring?

Depending on which cranks and chainrings, you may be able to do what I did - use the less-offset version. Worked for me for Absolute Black rings, GXP crankset on a non-boost frame. These:ย  https://absoluteblack.cc/sram-oval-boost-direct-mount-traction-chainring/

I've had lots of troubles with this sort of thing.

You could always try a different manufacturer's ring - some widths of the rings/teeth are different.

Moving spacers doesn't always work as you may bring the opposite crank arm in too close.

Surely that,s the opposite of what you should do , you need to move the chainring away from the frame not nearer to it .

Surely that,s the opposite of what you should do , you need to move the chainring away from the frame not nearer to it .

Think about it... Remove spacer from left (if you have one in the left, a 73mm BB shell won't) and put it on the right. That's going to move the right-hand drive side crank arm 2.5mm further away from the chainstay and the left hand 2.5mm closer.

Surely after a few rides it should have worn a groove and will free up a bit.
