Anyone know if these can be had? I know there aren't any officially, but I was hoping there might be something OEM. So far it's a choice of spacing down a fox f160 or xfusion slant.
Do spaced down forks handle as well? I always thought they were a bit of a compromise with air forks. Thinking of a slightly burlier but still light trail build but don't want to run 160mm up front.
BOS Deville.
I run lyrik solo airs at 140mm.
What about a 140/150 Thor, I know they are only 32's but I've found mine not far off the stiffness of 36's as they have the twin-arch.
X-fusion do the slant that are available with 34mm stanchions at 140mm out of the box (assuming it's for a 26" wheel, for a 29er it's the Trace)

you can travel reduce 2014 Fox 34 talas from 160 down to 130mm minimum. 140 is a fair and perfectly workable reduction... done at home.. using a spanner and some clippy things.
This stops the shorter travel setting going all the way down, not reducing the longer travel setting (which cane be done with more work)..
34 float can be reduced with normal spacers as per usual and 140mm is still good.
Yeah, X-fusion was a thought initially but they aren't out of the box as such, they're travel reduced and I always thought that was kind of defeating the point of buying a fork that's had hundreds of hours of R&D on a longer setting - same for the fox forks.
Bos 160 also, will look at the thor forks. Ta, i'll phone a couple of shops tomorrow and see what they think about travel reduction.
Bos are available out of the box as 140, 160 and 170.
ive got the slants and are 150mm dropped from 160mm and bought from upgradebikes.com and they drop the forks for free if you want too.
