I'm after recommendations now that my Hummvee's have given up the ghost.

wondered if there was anything similar on the market which was better value for money, if that was possible. Or should I just get some more?

ta.

I think the zymes are great shorts.

I have two pair of Hummvees shorts and the Humvee trousers and they are very hard wearing and value for money. 8)

I used to have Zymes but I had trouble with them falling down on rides, even though they were the correct size. Whether the cut of them doesn't suit me or what, I didn't like them.

Yep, the humvees lasted ages and I used the liner shorts as normal shorts over the summer. They're more for wearing off the bike, with occasional on the bike moments as I really don't get on with riding in baggies.

Looked at the zymes, look ok, but ideally I'm after something mostly black.

what about any of the competitors? Altura, polaris, umm, any others?

Similar budget or less if possible to the humvees (I've seen these for about £40)

cheers
