Getting old and over weight so im wandering is there any 30 tooth thick thin rings that fit on m980 cranks without filling down or having to botch. 32 seams a straight forward but would prefer 30 thanks in advance.
I have a 30T RaceFace ring that fits just fine on my Middleburn RS8 X-Type cranks, I don't think the M980 would be any/much different. The holes are threaded and have a step of some kind in them so ideally you'd need slightly longer chainring bolts but mine held OK with a bit of threadlock.
I use the On-one ringmaster 30T on my m980 and it fits fine with no filling down. Its a little thicker allowing the chain the clear the crank spider.
Only thing is the single ring cover plates when running a single ring wont fit

Thanks for the replys. I thought the might be a problem with the covers but glad it clears the spider so I think its time to bitd the bullit and get the ring ordered:-)
