Watching Steve Redgrave on BBC1 at the moment who is doing the US coast to coast for charity. His team is doing a 6 hour rota, ie.6 hours on the bike, six off, total 12 hours a day, 3000 miles in 8 days.
What impresses me even more is that there are individual riders doing the same thing in less than 12 days !! 250 miles a day is a lot of miles

The age 60+ record was set in 2008 by David Jones - 3014 miles in 11:03:25. That's over 270 miles a day. Fastest men are on 370 miles a day ๐ฏ
