Change to fell shoes for the main climbs? My cycling shoes rub like bugger but my fell shoes never do. I was planning on taking a camelbak anyway and I can change footwear and be going again in less than a minute (I've timed it ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ) anyone else do ( done) this to save masivly blistered heals.

Well, seeing how Rob isn't riding this year, the win is up for grabs...

So, if that gives you the advantage I'd say go for it...

Go for it, it's worth it if it gains you more time than it takes to change your shoes twice.
EDIT: don't forget Nick Craig, still a good shout for the win.

Although Nick seems to reckon that Paul Oldham will get the win this year...
Changing shoes?! Personally I'd not bother with the hassle of carrying all that extra weight swinging around, I'd have looked at getting new cycling shoes although it's probably a bit late for that now. Can't you just tape up your feet?

I wouldn't bother, you'll be quite sick of carrying everything. Just wear 2 thin pairs of socks. Just be glad that you're not riding it fixed like Rich.
