Evening all! As of September I'll be away with work and won't have much opportunity to get out and ride for 3 months. I will however have access to a decent gym, so looking at doing some cycling related training. What kind of exercise should I look to do, intervals on an exercise bike, long distances, weight training? I'm lost when it comes to stuff like this. I race downhill so endurance etc isn't such an issue, just don't know what I need to concentrate on.

Many thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

Chunky - is spinning as good as folk make out? Is that mostly interval stuff? (spot the guy who's never tried it)

Glupton - any particular exercises, or just general strength/balance stuff?

Cheers

i came off my bike early march and only this week had the Dr say i can go back on it. i was allowed on a spinning bike which a mate gave me, one month after my crash. i have just done my local loop- hardknotts, ulpha and birker in the wind (not easy) but i put it down to the spinning. well worth it.
