I quite fancy organising a bit of a fun weekend with my local club. Something along the lines of the stw classic weekender thing. So 3 different events all done on the same bike.
2 of the events are easy are to sort, DH and XC. I can't think of a third event that wouldn't be a pain to organise/set up. Any cunning ideas?
head to head short course hill climb/sprint racing, like that red bull thing in bristol a couple of weeks ago?

Hill climb is certainly an idea that may work. We live nowhere near a 4x track and there's not really much suitable that'd work that isn't illegal!
Dual slalom used to be popular back in the day.

'devil takes the hindmost' style very-short-track xc at the BBB was very popular with spectators and great fun to race in.
Obstacle course, any time made in the xc/dh events can be deducted for falls/feet down/refusals.

Highest bunny hop
longest bunny hop
single speed or granny ring race over short circuit or 100m
Combination of above for points
A how low can you go comp. Involving a berm and a limbo pole. Or a longest skid comp
A how high can you go ramp competition
Longest jump or most people cleared etc.
Most rear wheel hops
A long narrow rail, who can balance the futherest
