As it says on the tin I am looking for a ride next Friday whilst the kids are on the river. Any suggestions or links gratefully received.

There are a few here based in the Ceiriog valley about 4 or 5 miles south or you could ride up past Castell Dinas Bran and Worlds End over to Llandegla forest if you fancy something manmade. There is however a small amount of footpath (The Boardwalk, which is part of the Offas Dyke footpath) linking the road to Llandegla Forest which you may like to dismount and walk over... 😉

Also a route here starting in Llangollen which I have not ridden as a route, only as parts of other rides which looks good but at 44KM could take a little longer...

OS Explorer 255 covers all this area so it might be an idea to have a copy with you.

I thought Offas Dyke from the Worlds End road and then down through the forest was a bridlepath? The online OS map shows it as a BP.

Lots of good stuff as Hip mentions around Glyn Ceiriog, Llanarmon DC

On closer inspection of me map you are correct cxi. 😳

I had always assumed it was a footpath, the side by side sleepers seem a bit narrow for horses...

I'm gonna miss that cheeky feeling riding over there now. 😀
