Have looked over previous threads but seem to be a couple of years ago, curious if things have changed.

Looking for a 3/4 bib shorts.

Comfiest pad / insert.

Don't necessarily need to be winter / fleece versions.

Many thanks

I have just got some DHB Aeron and so far ( about six rides ) I’m very happy with them. I have Assos full length and Castelli 3/4, Rapha bibs shorts and so far the £55 DHB haven’t been any ‘worse’ than my much more expensive bottoms. (They are not water repellent though)

I have a few pairs, Isadore being my favourite. Currently 20 to 30% of in the sales.
I have the standard 3/4s, DWR treated and also a brushed fleecey inside. Not too warm, very good for this time of year.

I've bought Galibier bib 3/4's and shorts.
Best shorts I've ever owned, really comfy pad and a cool pad, great fit, good grippers that work without sticking/hair pulling.

Ps - trust thier sizing, but put a tape measure on yourself to check.

Recently bought a pair of Le Col 3/4 (after trying their shorts in the summer). All good - very comfortable, and £50 off if you get the Strava discount.

Not the Morvelo storm ones, the leg elastic is too big. Wish I had read the reviews more closely. I think Morvelo are a bit style over substance generally, I'd probably try the Galibiers next time

My Planet X 365s are really comfy and the right amount of warm.

For regular 3/4 I'd go Galibier, but I also have some lusso thermal 3/4s which are a nice roubaix material with no claims of dwr or windproofing and they've been perfect for the last few weeks.

Another vote for planet x 365. The right price too at £24.99

I used to have a pair of Lusso ones which were great. I've tried a pair of Pearl Izumi ones which were in the sale on freewheel. These are less good, the pad is very basic and the fit isn't great.

The planet X ones with the loose fit on the calf?

My planet x one's are terrible. Resigned to turbo duties.

Loose fitting and they delaminated

Maybe I was just unlucky?
