Do they vary seasonally?
If so I would guess autumn was a low with discounted new bikes and impending winer and spring would be a high. Anyone noticed if this happens?

Haven't noticed it happen, but I know a few guys who wait till the new ranges come out (about now) to wait to buy second hand ones that invariably come on the market when riders upgrade to the 'latest must have trail niche'. So that demand might actually push prices up - if you catch my drift...
