Please can anyone tell me if spokes for a 29" rim will be the same as a 700cc road bike rim? I understand that finite length will depend on hub diameter.
I'm changing from a Planet X 9mm spindle to an XT 20mm thru-axle.

depends on the build, not the original use of the spokes.
Use tyhe DTSwiss calculator or Wheelpro's one to work out what length for what build.
