Looking for a decent set of 29er wheels.

JRA do Stans on ProII
CRC sell Shimano XT

Anybody do wheel builds on Mavic TN719?

Any other options availiable? I want to run them tubeless too.

I tried Halo freedom disc and found them very sluggish compared to TN719. Never got on with WTB rims.

Ta,

P

LBS is your best bet isn't it? If you are anywhere near Bristol, Box at Badassbikes.com has to be one of the best wheelbuilders around.

Then get the Stan's rims. JRA are very reputable, but not cheap.

I'm in Durham/Newcastle and have yet to find a bike shop in Durham worthy of the name or one in Newcastle that either:

A) has staff prepared to notice that you are in the shop or
B) once they have noticed you to actually do anything about it.

If anyone knows of one them I'd live to know. I used to live in Bristol and although occasionally used to grumble about them at least the bike shops there actually do the job.

www.stif.co.uk

They don't charge for a build. You pay for your choice of Rim and Hub and that's all you pay.

VERY well built wheels too.

Cheers Daffy. Do you need to phone to get wheels built or is there a button on the site I can't find?
