Has anyone managed to find and use some suitable sized padded wheel bags to take a 29er wheel with tyre fitted and not deflated ?

No - I am using the square Mavic unpadded bags. You could easily add in some cardboard to provide additional protection.

I was just thinking this the other day - I would like some, as my frame fits in my existing bag but haven't found any ๐Ÿ™

Confirming what I suspected after several google searches ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Surely if big wheels are the future, they would be better catered for ???

(Oxy.. agreed, no probs fitting the frame into existing bike bag)

29er wheels, even with the tyres on easily fit inside the large blue ikea bags.

so maybe use a couple of those per wheel in combination with 'christhetall's suggestion of using an old duvet for protection? ๐Ÿ˜€
