[#601294]

Looking to perhaps get a 29er on the cycle to work scheme (voodoo dambala/rigid fork/alfine hub)

My question is do you need to use 29er specific tyres? I'd quite like to use some decent schable marathon plus tyres on the build but i don't think there is a 29er version of this. Can I use a 700c tyre instead? If I can what impact will that have on the rear wheel build in relation to the rim?

Cheers

Yoss

"29er" is same as 700C (622mm rims) so you'll be fine. Just confirmed with google ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have a GF Rig with an alfine built up on a DT Swiss 7.1 trekking rim (LINKY. It will take a bonty mud x or something like a 35mm touring tyre just fine.

The scwalbe marathons you will need are listed as 28" just to confuse matters even more...
