so far on the big wheels i've been running racing ralphs (2.4s) which are nice but a bit thin on the walls.
I want some tyres that
A) have a bit more mud clearence
B) have more hardy sidewalls
C) possibly hold up in the mud better (maybe)
cant decide on crossmark ardent combo (what are the walls like)
choir master twin rail (what are these like braking wise on the back)
something else?
I really like the Michelin AC. Works great in mud, never punctured. However, I'm selling my 69er stuff so if you want to buy one very cheap to try it, let me know. (Still has the furry rubber bits from the moulding on it). Also got a couple of Bonty 69er inner tubes as well.
been running ardent/crossmark for a while now.stood up fine even running tubeless (peaks, north wales).not exactly mud specific tho.
