I'm struggling to find any 29er, 2.2-2.4, tubeless ready tyres at a decent price. Are there any bargains out there at the moment?

I bought some 4ply vittoria ones from banana industries a few weeks ago.. About 25 quid a tyre iirc if that's any help

Edit

"Vittoria Martello 2PLY Graphene | Black 29 x 2.35" Folding MTB Tyre – Banana Industries" https://bananaindustries.co.uk/collections/tyres/products/vittoria-martello-mtb-tyre-black-29-x-2-35

These to be exact.. But there's a few different ones on there

Global pandemic and bargains don't really go together.

They don't, but I've also gone with some Banana tyres as they have a great discount.
Vittoria Peyote 29 x 2.35 G2 TNT compound for £26 each seems good to me.

Personally, I'm hoping for a bit more efficiency on my rigid mtb, as 2.5" wide DHF grippy tyres are quite a bit OTT.

Thanks for the heads up about the Banana site, they didn’t have any tyres I liked the look of at the moment but it’s bookmarked for another time. I actually found a bargain (or at least a good deal) on Merlin ... 29er Hans Damf super trail soft and Nobby Nic TLRs in 2.35 (but they may have been the last ones).

Thoughts on Hans Dampf on the front?

Look used, you can often get a bargain on a barely used tyre

I've had good experiences with Vittoria XC/trail tyres at bargain prices, from Banana Industries and Planet X

Yeah, I’m hoping I have the new version as the blurb says “While its predecessor was often used as a combo tire for the back wheel, the new Hans Dampf masters every requirement – whether precision front steering or rear traction.”. I’m hoping the soft compound and bigger blocks will keep the front planted while the Nobby Nic does it’s usual skipping about on the back...business at the front party out back.

I've got a pair of the new Hans Dampf's on the hardtail (27.5 though but the orange compound) and I'm impressed enough with them to put one on the front of the trail bike (29er) when I can find one at a decent price with a Nobby Nic on the rear. Should be a good combo for 3/4 of the year for general riding.

These are decent all rounders - https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Goodyear-Newton-ST-EN-Ultimate-Tubeless-Complete-Dynamic-R-T-29-MTB-Tyre_233161.htm - £34
the 2.6 is £25 on ebay

Cheers for that. Currently run an older MM/HD combo and think they're ace so looking for bargains to replace them in time. £32 for HD is very temping!

Tweeks Cycles has the previous model Magic Mary 2.35 snakeskin soft for £35, very good tyre that if you don't need a reinforced sidewall

Aye but, in fairness they thought the last one was a good front. And the one before.
