Just stretch a 26" to fit ?
Also, what size donor tube for a ghetto tubeless experiment, 24" ?

I used a 26" tube for my ghetto setup on 29er... also just use 26" tube as spare on the trail, though not had to use that yet.

I've swapped to tubeless but I was using 26" tubes in my 29er before that - worked fine and didn't seem any more puncture prone. Also meant not having to have different spare tubes for my different mtbs.
When I did ghetto, I used a 26" tube. Worked fine.

ive had a 26 inch in since december, no isues, never buying a 29 tube again

26" are fine, I prefer 29" Schwalbe tubes for peace of mind.
