do generally the same principles apply as 26inch...

I'm a Gnats Chuff under 6ft tall so i'm a tweener, . . generally I would go for a medium in most bikes...

Somehow i've got it in my head that in 29 i's have to have a large or am i being stupid?

I had same question for a manufacturer so rang em and they said its the same if your large on a 26" it works out the same on the 29" even if, as in this case, the TT is longer.

did you try their sizing for 26" aswell?

I ride a XL Pace 29er and would ride a XL 26er. The 29er is longer but I run a 90mm stem as instead of a 110mm stem.

From what I have seen of canyons a medium sounds about right. A Large would be spot on for me.

I went from a 19inch soul to a 19 xcaliber then a 19 el mariachi, they all fitted fine and the only differences in setup were from risers to flat bars from a 26 to a 29er, which was probably due to the bigger wheels/taller fork,
Same size frame for both I reckon..
