After having my Bandit nicked, I'm going for a codeine. I was going to get the spank oozy wheelset in the Crc sale but the sold out, so what is good for a fat lad riding a bit of everything for around £300, 15mm front and 12x142 rear.
Default is flow ex on pro 2 evos.

The Transition Revolution 28 wheelset that came on my Covert 29 seem absolutely bulletproof. Not the lightest out there, but you'd have to be a lummox to bend them. I ran the rear wheel with two broken spokes for about three weeks and it didn't go out of true. I really think that these wheels and Cockroaches are the only things that would survive a nuclear holocaust. Not sure how readily available they are though.
