Taken the plunge and ordered a Canyon Grand Canyon AL 7.9.
For about £1000 I really don't think I could get a better deal and couldn't justify spending £5-600 more to get the more expensive bikes which essentially use the same frame. Will consider fitting a dropper when it arrives (having been spoiled by the one on my Yeti) and may consider swapping the wheels and crank out.
Just waiting for email to confirm dispatch now - can't wait.
