Hello all
Anyone put a 29er front wheel on their 26 lefty fork?
If so how is the ride,is it worth making a 69er or do i save the money & put it towards a new 29er.
Cheers
Dave
Related to above, has anyone fitted the travel reduction kit to convert a 26er Lefty to a 29er? How easy, or did you get the shop to do it?
Andy
Do you need to reduce the travel? is it a case of preventing the wheel from hitting the frame.
Dave
Its very easy it will take you 5 mins & job done,if anyone needs a front wheel i have a cannondale SI hub stans crest 29er white rim & black DB spokes £95 posted ono email in profile,i also have a 2012 one ride old white Lefty PBR 90mm 29er fork £380 posted or both for £400 email in profile
Yeh if you dont your tyre will hit under the fork & over the bars you go.

You need to fit a 20mm spacer to stop the tyre from hitting the crown! It would be quite nasty to find this out while riding!
Ok spacer needed. So what's the ride like with a 29 up front?
Dave
You need to reduce travel, quite easy on the old lefty max
I ran a jekyll as a 69er and adjusted the geometry to more xc to counter the slackened angles worked surprisingly well
The swingarm has cracked now so fork (140 26" or 110mm 29") for sale with wheel
Big_n_daft, I've a Jekyll swing arm siting in my garage if your at all interested
