Getting a bit of an itch for a new local trails bike. Currently riding a steel inbred with 120mm forks. Love the ride but it's not the lightest, straight steerer and a 27.2 seat post which the current tmars is stuck in the frame

What would be the modern replacement? 29 ers

what is thy budget? for frame or whole bike?
Solaris would be my first choice if I had the money but is not so slack as the inbred iirc, would have to check, so might not be so trail orientated.

Just an itch at the moment so not sure of budgets. Had a new bird aeris last year so will have to tread carefully with the other half 🙂 not sure if I can say the new kitchen just being fitted is hers so I want a new bike

Secondhand Scandal ? Had a 29er Inbred years & so wanted it to ride like a big wheeled version of the a 26" wheeled Inbred, but it didn't. The Scandal does, love that frame !

Loved my Scandal 29er. Replaced it with a solaris which is different. Probably better but I did love the scandal. Also built up a parkwood fro a friend and it was a hoot.

Solaris is better put together but then it is many times the price.
