Of your list i've only ridden the XTC, however it was excellent, light, fast and comfy. Although not quite as comfy as the Spearfish that replaced it 🙂

As a Niner owner I'm biased, but my sensible head says the Scandal & some nice kit to drape over it.

What size are you? I'll shortly (this weekend) be putting my Grand Canyon AL 29er frame up for sale, size large (19"), Headset, bottom bracket, seatpost and seatclamp - £250+ postage.

Love my Orange Clockwork S.
Tried a Specialized at the time and it felt like a barge. The orange handles nicely for me. Just need to manhandle 29ers a bit more.
I've always found Oranges to be fun bikes to ride.
Only downside is that after 4 months I am breaking things (BB, Headset). On the up side I'm replacing with Hope gear which was my plan anyway.
Stock wheels are a bit heavy, but OK.
I'm 6'4" and ride a large. Sizing seems on the big size.

I can take some this evening. It's still fully built up at the moment as new frame hasn't arrived yet and am doing the Erlstroke on Saturday. Will post them when I get home.
