I'm a convert to 29ers but only ridden them HT. Thinking of going full bounce and have been looking at the Spesh Epic 29er. Just wondering how big wheels and full suss goes together.
(i will be test riding before parting with my hard earned)
I haven't ridden a 29 ht but I love my 100mm fs tallboy. Less does feel more on the suspension.
Love mine. Salsa Big Mama.
More and more coming to the market now so choice is getting better. Bonesetter of here has an Epic 29er and seems very happy with it.
Tallboys get nothing but praise but are certainly not cheap.....
Niner, Kona, Salsa, Spesh, Santa Cruz, Gary Fisher (Trek), Turner, Rocky Mountain are the main ones that come to mind but there are plenty of smaller niche/boutique brands out there also.
As always, the only drawback of 29er to me (HT or FS) is the extra cost/availability of wheels and forks over their 26" equivalents.
I'm loving my Gary Fisher Rumblefish but I'm also a loving my 29er rigids.
Just choose the bike to suit the conditions
