I'm considering some new road wheels based around 28 hole rims.

Currently looking at some circus monkey hubs on ebay for 90quid ish.

Should I be looking at anything else without spending dura ace money? There don't seem to be a huge amount of 28 hole hubs about.

Also on ebay there's Mr Ride and Sokin branded hubs (and the same hubs with no brands) easiest way to search is the find one then copy the weight (e.g. road hub 285g ). They're mostly re-branded novatec.

I found one I wanted and e-mailed the seller to ask for a drilling they didn't have listed (24h front 28h rear), hubs arrived in a week and have so far been perfect.

I have the circus monkey hubs - they've been used for CX and road riding for a couple of years without issue.

DT Swiss 350 - a little chunky but good quality stuff, from what I can gather, it's 240 level inside in a slightly less s****y shell.
