look like a good deal.
anyone know what freehub they use? i can see shimano compatible, but what replacement would you buy when it's screwed?

At that price, who cares? That's cheaper than buying the rims and you're getting free hubs and build...

More seriously, a quick look on PX shows they don't currently list a free hub body for that, but they've happily got me parts for that sort of thing in the past sometimes, possibly depends who picks up the email and now you asked?

Fair point both. I'll get them bought and worry about the details later!

Good job OP. Just ordered these as I was after some wider rims.

Got my wheels today. Well pleased with them. Waiting for some bits from CRC and I'll get them set up for Thursday.
Thanks OP.

PX ones look good value, I wonder how they compare to the Alpkit ones?

I wonder if they use the same El Guapo hubs?

"72 Points of engagement on freehub" Sound a lot better then the sack of sh**e Formula/Cannondale rear hub I currently have.

Could you pop them on the scales if you get a mo?

Thanks muggo. That's much better than I expected.

Sadly I've just realised they are boost hubs.

I bought the 40mm WTB TCS tape from CRC. Did both wheels last night and fitted the Rekons. Both went up tubeless with track pump. Most importantly they're still up this morning.
Looking forward to trying them out properly tonight.

@Del use this tape if going tubeless. Run a scalpel/craft knife around it to make it a couple mm wider than the rim inner. It's very light, waterproof, sticky as hell and doesn't soak up the Stans. It would possibly work with tubes too, but you won't be using tubes on a 40mm rim!

For comparison, I recently built XTR hubs on DTSwiss XM551 40mm rims and those came out at 910g and 1057g and £500 for unbuilt parts so I'd say these wheels are a bargain!

I was quite surprised at the weights. They're not too far off the roval wheels that I swapped out and they have 24 spokes front, 28 rear and 29mm ID rims.
The rekons look nice and round on the wider rims too.
