I know it may be futile, but I was looking to replace some xc717 rims on my very old, but very good xc bike.
Other than an eBay trawl, I can't seem to find anything light, and reasonably priced new.
Seems shops managed to shift their old stock already.
I gave up. Wanted wider rims to replace 717s on a 26er. LBS laughed and tried to sell me a 29er. There's a few cheaper wheelsets, but it's eBay time I think.
Superstar Components still do 26” XC wheelsets.

I notice Stan's are still listing 26" as an option. I wonder what would happen if you tried to order a pair of Crest mk3s? Says backorder though.
Second hand is the way to go. Plenty of pretty decent (but now "obsolete") rims and wheels out there
I have a set of old but good Hope XC3's surplus. I can pull them out and send you a couple of pics, if you are interested message me? V lightweight.

Or a nos pair 317 disc 32h in lemon.
I've got two Stans crest rims that are in reasonable condition. Think one has slightly older graphics on and they are both straight.
Happy to sell them for a tenner + postage as I'm not going to use them again.

I’m still on 26” on both of my XC bikes
and have a bunch of light XC race spec spare wheels dangling from hooks on my garage roof.
Wasn’t planning on selling but I’m not exactly racing any more so could be open to (sensible) offers...

DT SWISS still doing decent rims 26” - 32 spokes. -533D, available from Madison dealers - out of stock until later but I can vouch for the quality.
Im also after some wheels for my sons bike (something qr/tubeless). How much for any of the wheels mentioned above? Im in Derby and happy to collect around midlands if that makes it easier

2. Bontrager RXL (Race Extra Light) on RXL Hub (Front)
3. Bontrager RL Race Lite (Rear)
4. Stans ZTR Crest on OnOne hub (Front)
5. Stans ZTR Alpine on XTR hub (rear)
6. Stans ZTR Alpine on XT hub (front)
Happy to consider offers on 1-4 but need to keep a pair (5 & 6)
