Can anyone recommend any light weight steel forks around 440mm (100mm suspension corrected)disc only.....I have looked at the NS bikes ones and these look good but are a little hefty as I like to mess around but am no dirt jumper?? To plug into a kinesis decade.

I've always liked the Genesis ones, from the IO. Not sure on the length though.

I'm suprised that no one's mentioned On-One, their Superlights are 440mm and a good fork (I've got a set on my old Inbred). If going a touch longer doesn't throw things out for you the F8 from Orange, 450mm a-c, is great and pretty light (I have these on my Pipedream Sirius).

Personally I thought the On-one steel fork was horrid - very very harsh. I've now got Salsa Cromoto's which are much more compliant.

Kona Project 2 (triple butted) should be good too if you can find them.
