As I have posted earlier I am looking for a new frame as a home for all the 26" bits from my sadly snapped Commencal. There seem very few new 26" frames around but I can't afford a new complete bike or forks and wheels to go for a new fangled wheel size. So, can I put all this kit on a 650b frame without upset? The difference between 26" and 27.5" seems fairly minimal so I am hoping the swap wouldn't cause any problems.
Then of course when wheels, forks get rough , I will be able to afford to replace them with proper sized stuff.
Got a mate who did just that recently on a prototype 650B bike - while they waited for new wheels to arrive, he popped in his old 26" wheels. Said it felt fine, you could feel the BB was a little bit lower but that's all. No death, no trails not feeling alive etc.
