[#2012979]

440mm

seen the xlites - not for me

seen a photo of some ragleys that look ace , seen twinkly daves proto fork that looks lovely too - but going to be ages

ritchey on CRC look good ...... anything else i should look at ? dont want a fork that looks like the pace offerings - already got a pair of pace rigids

a niner fork would be ace but its too long !

Pretty sure the X-Lite and Ragleys are the exact same fork, just with a different logo and a carbon outer wrap on the Ragleys.

aye but its the logo on the xlites that throws me im sure the fork is fine .... rather garish for me a plain black carbon wrap with a subtle logo would do me 😀 - maybe just being picky

You can always remove the logos if you dislike them that much. I just did it to a set of Niners, need to get better pics...

The Ritchey ones on CRC are exactly the same as the Trigon forks that are sold on Ebay. I have a set on my old commute bike and they've been great. Waaaaay cheaper if you don't pay for the Ritchey name and weigh only 500g with the full carbon steerer (and that is the weight of my v-brake pair - disc specific must be slightly lighter still).

Downside is the graphics aren't as nice as on the Ritchey ones but with a £200 ish price difference i could live with that.

I started a thread about a year ago asking about them and Brant said that 'Trigon were very good with carbon'. Think mine came in around the £180 mark including a few customs costs.

Sorry for the late reply. I basically followed this. Essentially rub back with wet and dry, then work smooth with increasingly fine grades of paper. Re-clear coat as per normal. Didn't take that long - maybe a couple of hours total?
