Getting nagged by my 10 year old to take him on more mtb outings this winter. Our hills are full of sloppy mud and roots in the darker months, and the tyres on his 24" hotrock are not going to give him much grip at all. Anyone got any recommendations?

I got some 24" rocket Rons from a German site, for my lad's islabike. Might be a reasonable mud tyre as knobbies are well spaced?

I have Mow Joe's on my daughter's 20" bike. They also do them for 24".
Quite well spaced knobbles, which look like they could be good in the mud (not really tried them in the gloopy stuff though).
They're pretty light too.

Thanks. Will probably go for the rocket rons.
