just seen some photo's on fb. is the new puffin a 29'' compatible thing.

Yes and also 29+ i believe (old puffin 29 compatible but not 29+ compatible). Ive run my Mukluk with 29 x 2" wheels and it was ace. Notwithstanding the 100mm bottom bracket width, but that doesnt bother me. 😀
