because I'm about to purchase one (if the 56cm one fits me and I like the test ride). So what's the largest size tyres you've fitted with the mudguards on? because I fancy a bit of off-road touring/bike and possibly cyclo-cross. Any of you had any issues with anything?

I don't have one but if I were you I'd look at a Genesis too. Their Tour De Fer looks amazing and I'm going to buy one ASAP.

Genesis bikes are tricky to get hold of as I'm in NZ
