So previously I moaned about the fact the CTD cart has rubbish damping and then that after less than a year and barely any use the Talas cart gave up while riding and locked down at ~100mm and the lever wedged completely so you couldn't move it.
Anyway dropped them in to the shop and they sent them off all the way to the east coast for warranty repair. All good, apart from the $60 to ship the across the continent...
Two weeks pass and they are back and fixed. Apparently. Get in to the shop and cycle them through the travel, seem to work. Flick the Talas lever around to 130mm cycle them. Awesome fixed. No, not at all, flick the lever back and they return to 160mm travel, cycle and they squash back to 130mm. Talas lever is now stuck again. However if you press the air valve it depresses and they pop back up to 160mm travel, through they squash back down and stay at 130mm travel. Something isn't right here...
Awesome so still broken then even though Fox has allegedly replaced the cartridge. With one with identical symptoms. Well done Fox service center, either you are incompetent or lying.
This is 5th or more pair of Fox forks i've purchased and at current rate it'll be the last, which is a shame because until now I've loved the damping (on everything bar the 2013 CTD).
So another weekend without being able to ride.
Bah
Flick them & get a Pike.
