Not everyone has released details of the new ranges yet, but from the info out there at the moment a few things stand out:
At £1K, I reckon Spesh will be selling an awful lot of these:

Perfect for the hesitant new roadie?
£1000 for Sora seems a bit steep, even with the discs.
And why do people still put discs on the seat stay rather than the chainstay?
This is the best value bike I can find, and in the continuing absence of a CrossCheck Disc, the only one I could see myself actually buying:

Be nice to see a steel version.
If the designer is reading this, any chance? 😉
These look nice from Kona, but as usual, they're a bit pricey compared to some other stuff:

And they've downgraded the brakes and uglified the Sutra:

Which is a massive shame - looks like the 2012 bike is the one to go for, if there are any left.

Not an awful lot of 26ers left, sadly.
Cube have more models than Airfix, Trek look a bit 'me too' :

£1300 for a boggo alloy frame & Recons? Is this normal these days?
The Boardman site now says 2012-2013 for the existing model range (I thought they had a load of new stuff for next year?) and Genesis aren't playing for a few days yet.
Anything appeal?
Looking at 2013 bikes would do me about as much good as reading What Unicorn? magazine, as realistically I'm more likely to actually own the latter*
* until 2015, possibly
Grapil from Genesis looks set to please us when it's out.
Also, kinda like the Mantle we just got in. Rides really well.
Me too.
You can still look at the Ferrari catalogue even if you drive a Fiat though, as I'm constantly telling Ms S.
hadn't seen the grapil that is a tidy looking thing.
I'd like a Cannondale F29 carbon, only they aren't selling any in Small in the UK, I mean really? So if you're under 5'9" you might as well forget buying one.
Spesh aren't bringing the steel Tricross disc in either.
Seems really daft, when everyone else is bringing out very similar bikes.
the clearance on that cube is a bit tight, might be hard work with mud tyres on.
That Salsa Beargrease. I can't quite work out if it'll be any good on the trails i ride, i'm not sure i can really fathom the benefit of a fat bike over suspension (again for where i ride) but bleedin hell do i want one. Think the videos of that bloke on the Sandman have got my imagination going 🙄
Loads... unfortunately!
Probably going one of the larger wheeled full sus in 2013... Scotts, Ubes and Rockys are all doing it for me!
yes, a fairly good one.
😀
I really like that Secteur.
Seems like what I've been looking for (a road bike with discs, rather than a cross bike with discs).
[Edit] But, yeah - if they'd put the disc mount on the chainstay instead, it would be ideal [/Edit]
actually i'm also really interested in that secteur now i've seen it.also £500 cheaper than the tarmac sport (ripe for upgrades/clothing i think 😉
i love discs 😀
I just want Canyon to hurry up and put their 2013 stuff on the website so I can see if they discount the 2012 stuff!
Looking forward to the new Canyon 29ers and road bikes.

Discounts on 2012 stuff already on the website - tuck in. 🙂
NS Soda and Dartmoor Wish are 2 bikes I'm interested in trying out.
Anyone heard any 2013 news from Yeti?
What I'm really after is for them to put a Reverb hose guide (or even better, Stealth) on the ASR5c
Really can't stomach spending that much on a frame and having to put a zip tie on it straight away!
Dave
Saw a catalogue online that suggested Lapierre were doing the Spicy 916 as a frame only for 2013 - Hotlines know nothing about it though - still hoping.
That or the Covert Carbon, or the rejigged Carbon Nomad.
Or, perhaps, a flying pig.
Colnago C59 disc. want!
Bikes are pricey nowadays!! Realised my self built Maxlite is all but defunct bar the frame and brakes but looking at both components and bikes gave me a shock!
MTB is now a costly pastime..
🙁

Buy 2nd hand and it becomes more affordable. I like the look of new bikes but I'd never spend so much money on a new FS frame or bike, some of the pricing is ridiculous! I think the only new things I've bought have been a cassette, cables, brakes and tyres!
_tom_ yeah with you on that.
