I bought a frame through here about 2/3 months ago and finally got round to finishing the build but it turns out the headset desperately needs replacing. I have been on the cane creek website but its asking for diameter of fork etc, but I have no vernier calipers to do this.
So, can anyone help me with the right tapered headset for a 2012 Trek Remedy with a Rockshox Domain tapered fork please.
I have a 2012 rumblefish and not many headsets fit. The trek website is good and will tell you but you may have to search a bit first. Im guessing this will be a standard size within the trek mountain bike line up.
On mine either the FSA no 57 or the cane creek 40 series fit. I know hope now do one too.

Would look at buying some vernier calipers, a very useful tool to have.
For the headset, pretty easy to ID if it's a ZS, IS or EC, and it will be a 44 top, if you have a taped fork, that answers the bottom.
Alternately get the LBS to ID it all when fitting?
Or do a bit of Googling, which brings all this back Trek Remedy 2012 specs and then the headset details taken from the specs
Thanks both, will now search for the correct headset.
Contact Trek. Some of their bearings are specific to their frames.
