[#3108330]

I'm after a 2012 Reverb, hopefully it has the faults ironed out from the old model.
Not looking to import one incase it has to be repaired under warranty.
Google's telling me they're available in July 2011, maybe in the states?
Phoned a couple of places and they're expecting stock in 3 to 6 weeks though they didn't know if it's 2012 or current model they're getting.
Anybody heard of ones in stock?

I've got one on order and was told a few weeks too as they are waiting for 2012 models.

I'd rather wait and know I have the latest version I think.

Toons, phoned them, they didn't know if stock they're getting in 3 weeks is 2012 stuff.
Priced me £300!

Wow! Do you know what's changed for the 2012 model?

£300 FFS, I'd want it made out of ivory for that price 😯

Changes I believe are the collar is black instead of silver, theirs also a collar you can attach to the shaft to custom set the max drop (pointless imo) and the connector at top of post for the hose is thicker (i believe this is already on the latest batch of 2011 posts) pointless waiting when you can get the present 1 for £195 from hibike, I know what I would do and have done..

Are the 2011 ones reliable though? I want one but struggling to get my head around £200 for a seat post. It would be easier to convince myself if I thought it had a good chance of being reliable

I think theirs been no real issues with the latest lot, it was all with the early ones in 2010. Well worth the money, just makes it easier to mess about on your bike, always using mine.

Gutted hibike only do the mmx version. I'd have had one for £190 delivered.

Any way to get the mmx version to fit normal handlebars??? Anyone??

The mmx version is the same as the normal lever. The mmx part is an additional bolt on. You just take it off if you don't want to use it and are left with a standard lever.

You 100% sure of that? I emailed chain reaction who said it wouldn't fit normal bars and there was no way of adapting them to fit?

Yes, 110%. I ordered one myself.

Do a search on here, its well documented, plenty of people have done the same.

i can confirm the mmx as well, just unscrew that part

also i got a right hand one and run it upside down underneath the bars on the left

cannot imagine wanting it on top, or on the right with the rear shifter

one hand does the post, the other does the up or down the gears, if you get me

Cheers for that guys, that will make me another £190 poorer lol

You all rate the reverb then I presume? I'm so sensitive to seat height Ive convinced myself it will change the way I
Ride?!

Mmx clamp is great... it clamps to any bar. On one bike I run it left below the bar, on the other I run it right above the bar... both are brilliant.
Yes... it changes the way you ride for the better. I tried the older posts but was not convinced, the Reverb works so well it converted me... I love it.

Sod it! if they've sorted out the reliability I might just go for a 2011 one, save myself £100 and a 3 to 6 week delivery time.

Got mine from CRC, £185 delivered, and a voucher for my next shopping spree 🙂

As above MMX clamp is just a clamp, not seen a standard one so couldn't say if its any different.

Would like to run it under the bars, but I also like my granny ring, so need a shifter on the LHS. They apparently don't like being turned upside down as the lever/button bit is a bit fragile so under the bars make sense if you can get away with it.
