I have a new pair of 2012 Fox Float 100 rlc fit (kashima), I am tempted to put them on as I got on well with the 2010 F100 RL I had before but don't know whether to sell them and by a SID or something else.
What are people opinions on the dt swiss, magura and manitou forks?
How much could I get for the Fox?
Keep them.
As far as I am concerned and most of my LBS the Fox forks are simply the best for out and out performance. They do however require a lot more care and servicing than the RS for example. I am currently weighing up buying a set of Fox forks or SIDs for my race bike and TBH the SIDs are looking better for the long run even though I have been very happy with the Floats that have been on it until now mainly because they are two hundred euros cheaper and my LBS can do all the servicing. As for Manitou they have slipped off the radar since their QC problems. DT swiss are the old Pace forks so you can decide if that is a good thing or not.
SID RCT3 on very good offer at Merlin currently - I've just got a set and am very pleased with them.
DT Swiss were completely redesigned for the 2011 model year and have very little from the Pace forks now. I would have the Magura Durin if I could afford them - have a set of Thors which I really like. I've always been a bit prejudiced against Fox because of the stantion wear problems.
Be different (and better imo) and get the Maguras
Amazing deal them SIDS shame Rockshox seem to be selling the Dual air system.
Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but we do have a special offer on the MY2011 Durin for £350 currently. If anyone was interested.....
